UFC Fight Night 13 (3 hours/5 fights)

This should be a fun evening. This card is stacked with talent and it is nice to see that SPIKE extended the broadcast to be 3 hours which will allow us fans to see 5 or possibly 6 matches on TV. Here is what MMAWeekly has for a Televised Card right now:

  • Kenny Florian vs. Joe Lauzon
  • Thiago Alves vs. Karo Parisyan
  • Tim Boetsch vs. Matt Hamill
  • Nate Diaz vs. Kurt Pellegrino
  • Houston Alexander vs. James Irvin
  • Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard (swing bout; may not be televised)
These are some nice match ups. Hopefully we will see some good fights and some KO's!

Interesting how Tim Boetsch had one good fight in his debut and all of a sudden they throw him in as a replacement against Hamill. Maybe they wanted a standup guy against a wrestler?

This should be an interesting fight. Boetsch did do well, we will see how he does against someone like Hamill. Hopefully it isn't another dull fight.

I guess the match up to me is weird. To me Boetsch doesn't seem to fit but what to I know, I'm the guy with zero mma experience.

We shall see how the fight goes in the later rounds...if it makes it that far.
